Jason W. Ceyanes, Sr., Ph.D., CFP® joined Encompass Advisory Services, LLC in 2019. He is an ownership partner and serves as President/CEO, and Investment Advisor Representative. Previously, Jason was a representative at MWA Financial Services for over seven years, where he was a Registered Representative, Investment Advisor Representative, Managing Partner, and Senior Investment Advisor. He holds his Series 6, 63, 7, 24, and 26, as well as CFP® certification to conduct business as an Investment Advisor Representative.
Prior to entering the financial services industry, Jason was a public-school educator for 18 years, including five years as a small school superintendent. He taught high school biology and was a high school coach, assistant principal, principal, district-level administrator, and ultimately school superintendent. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from University of HoustonClear Lake, Master’s Degree in Educational Mid-Management from University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station.
Jason currently serves on the Board of Directors for Hill Education Associates and teaches the Personal Money Management course as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston-Clear Lake
Jason’s experience includes comprehensive financial planning, preservation of assets through risk management, savings, investing, retirement planning, estate planning, business planning, wealth accumulation, wealth management, and retirement income distribution. Jason is also experienced with the Teacher Retirement System and how the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO) affect social security benefits for educators.
Jason has been married for 27 years to Kimberly Ceyanes who is a retired physician assistant of 25 years. They have six children; four boys and two girls, and five grandchildren. They currently attend Second Baptist Church in Katy, TX, and their favorite scripture is “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
