John joined Encompass Advisory Services in late 2017, as a financial advisor bringing a wealth of previous experience in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining EAS, John served clients investment needs in the Houston area through the investment advisory firm Lakewood Capital Management, that he founded in 2001. Before that, John was a senior portfolio manager for AIM/Invesco managing $4 billion in fixed-income investments in several mutual funds. John started his career in accounting in the banking and savings and loan industries, before moving on to financial and investments analysis in the mutual fund industry.
John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Sam Houston State University. He attained CPA status in the State of Texas in 1986, and he currently holds the Series 65 license.
